Outbound Referrals

 

To access Outbound referrals for a patient, highlight the patients name on the main screen, click Actions for Highlighted Patient in the upper right corner of the main screen and select Outbound Referrals.

Click Insert to add a new Outbound Referral.

Actions for Highlighted Patient > Outbound Referrals > Insert

 

Select the Referring Doctor, enter the Date of the referral, a Reason for the referral and the Status [OPEN, CLOSED, CANCELLED]. Click OK to save the referral.

NOTE: Defaults to OPEN for new referrals. You can enter back in this area to change the status as desired.

 

You can also enter notes to keep a log on this outbound referral. Simply highlight the referral and click Insert under Notes.

Actions for Highlighted Patient > Outbound Referrals > Notes

 

You can enter multiple notes on any referral which keeps track of who entered the note, and the date and time. You can also lock this note from being changed. Click OK to save the note.

NOTE: You can run a report of outbound referrals under Reports, Admin Reports, Outbound Referrals.
